Daniil Medvedev won both of his previous ATP Head2Head meetings with Stan Wawrinka in Grand Slams, but the Swiss is on the verge of turning the tables in their fourth-round clash at the Australian Open on Monday. The fourth-seeded Russian is in a fifth-set thriller with the 2014 champion and No. 15 seed, with Medvedev serving at 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-7(2).
Medvedev is seeking his first quarter-final in Melbourne. The winner of this match will face seventh-seeded German Alexander Zverev or No. 17 seed Andrey Rublev of Russia.
More to come...
