Three years after his men’s doubles triumph in Paris, Ivan Dodig lifted the mixed doubles trophy at Roland Garros. The Croatian teamed up with Latisha Chan to prevail against top seeds Mate Pavic and Gabriela Dabrowski 6-1, 6-7(5), 10-8 in a No. 1 vs No. 2 final on Thursday.
The 33-year-old Dodig, who won alongside Marcelo Melo in 2015, claimed his first mixed doubles title following runner-up finishes with Sania Maria at the 2017 Australian Open and 2016 Roland Garros.
Pavic and Dabrowski, the reigning Australian Open champions, had come from 1-5 down in the second-set tie-break, winning six straight points to extend the match.
